Bernie Sidney

Bernadette found an interest in triathlons when she moved to San Diego from Los Angeles, Ca. in 2002. Originally from Mexico City where she was raised she decided to attend the University of Southern California achieving a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Through out her life her passion has always been fitness, instead of pursuing a career in her field of study, she then worked in the fitness industry for 25 years presenting and educating other instructors internationally.

Bernie is a certified Personal Trainer and an Educator for Mad Dogg Athletics (Spinning) and Stott Pilates. She has traveled around the world to teach courses in Spinning and Stott Pilates.

Her career in triathlon started 9 years ago. Having to train with little time because of her lifestyle as a single mother of two boys and working full time has giving her the experience to use her training time efficiently.She has done 6 Ironman Florida, Canada, Arizona, CDA, Texas and Cozumel. Finishing top 10 and the best part with no injuries or a lot of down time. She has done at least over 30 Ironman 70.3 and some olympic distance.
