Featured Athlete - Karen Bonham

Starting out as a young swimmer, Karen then played pretty much all sports in
high school and college. As a veteran triathlete, Karen also placed 2nd at
Ironman Brazil in 2007 which got her a qualifying spot in Kona, her most
honorable moment. She would love to soon qualify for the 70.3 Worlds and
meet new people while traveling. She has also raced Ironman Austria which
she felt was her most favorite race due to the beauty of the venue and the
fantastic people. Karen sees herself as different and exceptional and never
settles for just any gear when racing, she wants good looking comfortable
gear and Active Angelz fits that requirement. This Canadian resident will be
competing this year at Atlantic City Ironman, watch out for her!

Training: Almost every day. When not training I am active, walking the dogs,
or doing something outside of the normal every day training.

Favorite Races: Ironman Austria...absolutely beautiful venue and well run
race. I met so many fantastic people.

2014 Goals: I would love to qualify for Worlds 70.3 and personally to meet
as many new people while traveling.

Greatest Athletic Accomplishment: placing 2nd at Ironman Brazil in 2007 and
qualifying for Kona. It was my honor and privilege to be among the best that
year.

2) staying on my nutrition plan

4) crossing the finish line no matter what
5) getting to the start uninjured so I can perform race dayX
