GLOW...From the Inside Out
Posted: Jan 05 2016

Usually, I go into the new year with all kinds of resolutions... Lose weight, drink less wine, get faster, workout more, do yoga, smile more, smell the roses.... Sometimes the list is endless and as always, as January ends, so do most of my resolutions and I fall back into the same old routines. This year, I have decided to embrace a theme for the year. A theme that will carry me right through the year, with no judgement, no right or wrong, no tasks or things to accomplish. Rather a theme of how to live and how I want to feel. A theme that I can incorporate into everything that I do so that I can make real changes to my life.
My 2016 theme is to GLOW... From the inside out.
For me, glowing means embracing healthy and positive choices in everything I do. From whatever goes into my mouth, to what I put on my skin, how I train, relax, relate to people....Glowing is a lifestyle and an attitude. Glowing is a twinkle in my eye and a spring in my step. This past year I did not feel as if I was glowing. I am happy and content and fit. I work out, I train, I eat well 80% of the time. Most of the time I think I have pretty good balance, BUT, I am just not feeling good. I am not feeling vibrant, bouncy, healthy! I am not bounding out of bed with a spring in my step and a sparkle in my eyes.
I plan to change all of this in 2016 as I embark on a journey of discovering my inner GLOW!
Some of the things in the pipeline:
-No sugar at all for two months...and then a focus on reduced sugar. START NOW!
-30 day ab challenge-starts January 11th. 100 abs every day for the first week, 200 in the second week......
-Healthy eating everyday-make conscious, clean choices -Hormone balancing -Meditate...find at least five minutes a day to meditate -Yoga...Incorporate yoga into your week.
Beach walks....Smell the roses...take a walk on the beach, in the mountains, on a trail....smell, breathe, enjoy.
Set challenges....run up a new trail, hike up a mountain, learn to do a headstand....

I hope that many of you will join me on this journey. It will be a fun year of self-realization and self-discovery. I don’t expect to get this right all the time. But my hope is that I will get to the end of the year with a healthier body and a different attitude.
Happy 2016...Lets start GLOWING!
