4th of July Berry Popsicles

We work all spring to get our bodies ready for summer. But we all know 4th of July weekend is hard to stay healthy. Who can resist a burger or frank at the annual 4th of July BBQ? For every temptations, there is always a healthier equally delicious alternative. Instead greasy potato chips, try baked homemade kale chips. They are over triple the nitration, and easy to make. Rather then the traditional hamburger and hot dog, choose the better source protein: Turkey burgers and turkey dogs! Now onto dessert, which you usually skip, you can enjoy these 4th of July Berry Popsicles.

This refreshing power dessert will make the perfect 4th of July treat. Who doesn’t love a popsicle in the beating sun of July. A simple recipe, that will quench your thirst! This is a perfect dessert for all ages to enjoy. These are made with 100% fresh fruit and Greek yogurt. Not only are they delicious, but healthy too. They are made of berries, which are high in antioxidants to help the stress fade away. Enjoy your 4th of July the right way, make a snack the whole family can love.

 

Servings:16

 

Red:

  • ¾ cup raspberries
  • ¾ strawberries
  • 6 oz. Greek strawberry yogurt
  • 1 cup crushed ice

 

White:

  • 14 oz. Greek vanilla yogurt
  • 2 tbsp. sugar (optional)
  • 1 cup crushed ice

 

Blue:

  • 1 cup blueberries
  • ½ cup blackberries
  • 6 oz. Greek blueberry Yogurt
  • 1 cup crushed ice

 

 

Directions:

  1. Blend each color smoothie separately in a blender and set aside.
  2. Pour first color 1/3 into the popsicle mold and let it freeze for 30 minutes. Remove from freezer and insert the stick. Freeze for another 30 minutes.
  3. Add the next color, and let it freeze for an additional 30 minutes. Add the third and let it freeze for an hour, or until ready to be served.
